Working Dual boot Windows Vista and XP - 03-04-08, 22:27
gw dapat dari site nun jauh disana setting buat ngatasin problem dual boot vista yang menggunakan vista [boot] loader dengan XP

  • Using Vista’s boot loader

  • Second partition (D): XP
Procedures:
  1. Load the XP installation disc, and create two partitions.
  2. Proceed to install XP on the second partition.
  3. In C: (first partition), save these 3 files: ntldr, NTDETECT.COM, boot.ini (This is the way it should be done. I actually did not do this step. There’s a way to get these files back from the XP installation CD. See notes at the end.)
  4. After the XP installation, there should not be any problem booting into Windows.
  5. Load the Vista installation disc, format the first partition (just to be safe), then install Vista on the first partition.
  6. Once the installation is finished, the computer will automatically boot into Vista, ignoring the existence of XP.
  7. Download and install EasyBCD (page). In Add/Remove Entries, add an entry for XP on Drive D:, and give it a name. Save.
  8. XP still won’t boot, and will complain about a missing file called ntldr. Copy the files saved in Step 3 to both C: and D:.
  9. The dual boot system is complete.
Notes:
  • The files ntldr, NTDETECT.COM can be found in the Windows XP CD, under the directory i386.
  • The file boot.ini can be written from scratch, as shown below:

sorry, kemaren malam waktu posting koneksi gw agak bermaslah so gw refresh, tuh sebabnya ke post 2 kali.
om mod/admin tolong hapus aja yang satunya

anyway, kalo make vista loader buat hack aktivasi vista, jika kompie dipake untuk dual boot, kompie malah ga bisa boot ke sistem sama sekali.
