terlalu beresiko kalo flash bios mod bro,..
dolo wa pernah cuba flash bios pakek 3 tools (wpcr edit, wpcr set)dengan menambah nilai offset dari binaries bios,... saran mendingan pake moddable bios patch SLIC aja, wa pernah liyat forumnya kok, hampir semua brand mobo including chipsetnya ada moddable bios nya..
dan hasilnya apa, nurut wa sama aja dengan emulation boot bios loader, disamping ga beresiko (secara software) juga jarang terjadi konflik ama installed mobo driver chipset includ sata, bus management system, etc...
kelemahannya ,... tampilan boot emulation room di awal booting mengganggu sangat dan celakanya lagi bagi yang dual OS (Vista n XP) semuanya kena Imbasnya ....

gw denger ada trouble kalo mo dual boot
anyway, ge sempat mampir ke support acer (lappie gw).
waktu mau download update buat driver2 lappie gw sempat liat ada bios for vista (ehm...) apa nyediain bios khusus yang ada SLIC table buat OEM yah

or bisa pake vista loader 2.2.0
terbukti lancar juga.
btw, thankz infonya, gw baca vista bootmgr bisa dipake buat x64 (berencana pindah ke x64 waktu dekat ini)

untuk visa loader ga ada keterangan tertulis, tapi ada yang bilang bisa. yah, ntar tunggu waktu buat ngecek aja

anywya, gw cumanmau berbagi pengalaman aja.
sebelumnay kan gw make vista loader buat emulasi SLIC table, setelah gw uninstall vista loader (gw make ver 2.2.0) visa script uninstaller yang disertakan, sampe sekarang Vista gw tetep teraktivasi dan terpasang SP1, meksi terhubung internet dan sering check update di Windows update

ehm.. kalo di pikir2 sih, kalo udah status activated biasanya kan tetep activated yah
anyway, paling ngga, gw ngga ngadapin tuh pesan boot loader di awal boot lagi
