DirectX 11 sudah diumumkan - 20-03-07, 04:27
Walau DirectX 10 dan 10.1 hingga saat ini belum jelas implementasinya, Microsoft sudah mengumumkan DirectX 11. Fitur utama yang dituju dalam pengembangan DirectX 11 ini adalah interaksi yang lebih banyak bagi gamer, dalam bentuk AI, Physics, dan pengembangan gameplay. Dx11 juga dipersiapkan untuk mendukung setiap hardware dengan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan Dx10.

Dx11 juga dimaksudkan untuk mempermudah dan menekan ongkos developing pada sebuah game, sehingga kita mungkin akan melihat game game Dx11 jauh lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan pengembangan game pada Dx9.

Yang baru pada DirectX11 adalah adanya procedural content yang bekerja apabila sebuah game menjadi terlalu berat atau terlalu lambat pada sebuah sistem, dikarenakan contentnya yang makin detail dan makin rumit, maka game itu akan secara jenius menyesuaikan dengan hardware yang digunakan, dengan cara mengurangi content, menurunkan detil texture, aliasing dan menonaktifkan fungsi fungsi yang dianggap tidak diperlukan pada saat itu, on the fly untuk membantu meningkatkan frame rate.

DirectX 11 juga dipersiapkan juga, sesuai dengan trend hardware masa kini, multi core dan dukungan terhadap stream processing dan GPGPU menjadi dominan pada perencanaan DirectX11 ini.

mungkin directx 10 gak lama kali, windows vista aja gak lama kan. makanya beli card directx 9.0 yang high end aja doloe
