Kaget jg ternyata masih belum banyak yg mengetahui kl Gmail dapat digunakan sebagai data storage (bisa untuk backup, atau sharing file, dsb yg dirasa perlu)


Well... it's Google Power and Powered by Google
apa coba

Langsung aja ke bagian utama.
Apa yg diperlukan?

1. Account Google
2. Browser (Firefox preferred)
3. Email Client (alternative)
4. Software Gmail Drive (alternative jg)
5. Internet donk...

untuk no. 3 anda bisa gunakan client yg anda sukai
untuk contoh ini (dan yg saya pakai) saya menggunakan Mozzila Thunderbird: Thunderbird - Reclaim your inbox

untuk no. 4 anda bisa menggunakan software ini: Gmail Drive

How to Use:

1. Apabila menggunakan Browser, anda bisa login dari email provider lain (yahoo misalnya) lalu send saja email seperti biasa, dengan disertai attach filenya. Simply as that.

2. Email Client, sama seperti yang pertama.


3. Gmail Drive, apabila sudah di download dari sini: Gmail Drive
install saja, nanti di My Computer akan muncul Drive baru yaitu Gmail Drive


Klik kanan untuk akses ke optionnya (Login As)

masukkan username & password anda, dan centang option Auto Login apabila anda sering mengakses Gmail Drive.

Double Click



Voila anda terkonek langsung dengan Drive barunya

Bagaimana apabila saya ingin mendownload file yang sudah saya simpan?
1. Bisa login langsung dari Gmail.com dan download seperti biasa anda mendownload file attachment.
2. Dengan email client, cukup dengan men-setting pop mail dan smtp anda bs mendownload semua file.
3. Gmail Drive, semua file yg suda dimasukkan melalui Gmail Drive bs langsung di drag and drop atau Copy paste


dan Selesai

Ada bbrp bug untuk Gmail Drivenya
apabila anda menggunakan mail client atau upload(send email) dari browser maka email/file yang anda kirim tidak akan terlihat dalam Gmail Drive

jd usahakan anda mengupload file anda hanya menggunakan salah satu metode diatas (Email Client atau Gmail Drive), sedangkan Gunakan browser hanya sebagai pengecek inbox mail anda, karena biasanya apabila digunakan untuk download/upload sering sekali time out apabila file yg di download/upload terlalu besar.

ini dah lama banget loh sebenernya

dulu tenar banget
tp skrg dengan menjamurnya file sharing ya jd ga gt di gubris lg

tp ya buat gw (dan mungkin bbrp orang lainnya)
masih sangat bermanfaat

it's google powered
dan ga bakal di delete kecuali kl ada komplain langsung dari google (yang selama ini ga pernah gw liat)

dan jg... mungkin banyak yg ga tau...
