Udah ada yang kenal KGB Archiver ? Belum ? Silahkan di lihat ke websitenya jika belum.

KGB archiver bisa dibilang merupakan kompressor paling brutal sejagat raya ini. UHARC kalah!!

Archiver ini, selayaknya WinZip atau WinRAR, tugasnya adalah mengkompresi segala macam informasi yang bisa "dilipet" agar HDD punya sedikit tempat kosong. Nah masalahnya, dengan KGB Archiver ini, HDD hampir jadi kosong!!!

Ini adalah folder Adobe photoshop CS3 sebelum gw kurangi ukuran size nya :



dan ini adalah setelah kompress an



Bener bener luar biasa gokil-parah-banget-kompresinya!!! Edaaaaaaan!!!!

Gw bener bener puas pae kompressor ini padahal ini gw baru setting 2 tingkat diatas normal compression. Extreme kalo ga salah. Masih ada 1 level lagi, maximum. Kabarnya level ini bisa membuat 1GB file cuma menjadi 4-5MB aja. Bayangkan!! 1GB jadi 5MB !! Anjrit lah. Tapi gw percaya. Lha 2GB aja jadi 56MB. Itu udah brutal banget.

Sayangnya, mengkompress file pake KGB Archiver masih butuh sangat banyak waktu dan memori yang besar. Alasan gw ga bisa pake Extreme Compression adalah karena gw ga cukup memory nya. dia kasi tau kalo mem gw kurang. sayang sekali padahal gw pengen coba.

Dan.. gw mengkompres file 2GB jadi 50MB an itu butuh waktu 4 jam ( dari jam 8 sampe jam 12 lebih ). Bener bener insane. Tapi setara dengan hasilnya.

Silahkan mencoba dan bandingan dengan zip / rar / 7zip kesukaan dengan setting kompressi tertinggi. Dan bandingkan hasilnya dengan KGB Archiver gw sih males nunggu WinRAR gw compress 1 jam lagi.. hasilnya kemungkinan besar nggak akan signifikan bedanya..

iya proses kompresi tergantung sama speed processor. mungkin emang perlu dual core mungkin. lha gw aja 4 jam buat file 2GB, mungkin lo ya sekitar 1 jam an..
