Ouhhh...

...this game really worth to be called SHOWWII "sequel" ^^;; Not many games in the past could make my heart "moving" (tremble....if you don't understand ^^). This game also can make my heart trembled as same as when i played SHOWWII about 2 years ago.
First, we will talk about graphic. The Faces of War's (FOW) engine is cleary visible still using the SHOWWII's engine, because i'm still got a same "SHOWWII" feeling when i'm playing FOW demo. However, it's heavily upgraded to a new level. The explosion is an excellent example how much FOW's engine has been improved when compared to SHOWWII's engine. The engine is also capable to use a bloom effect (HDR "clone"

), which clearly have a huge improvement to visual treatment ^^...especially when the guns is firing.
Surprisingly, the game runs smoothly without frame rate drop almost in all section. Only when there is a lot of building being destroyed with a lot of units firing at the same time, this game can make your PC sweating

. i don't know how to explain the improvement of the graphic, you must see it yourself ^^;; Just a note, don't compare it with a brand new FPS engine like CoD2 ^^;;;...
The animation also has been improved. For the example, the soldiers now have a different "enter animation" for a different vehicle. Not like in SHOWWII, when almost in all vehicle the soldiers have a general "enter animation" ^^;;.
How about the sound and music?? Although not as good as "Cinema Sound", a SHOWWII sound mod to make you feel as in the real war, but it has been improved a lot. Especially the music, i like it...because it's increasing your andrenaline

...thus make you want to play until the end ^^;;
Now we will enter the core from all the game in the earth...Gameplay

. We are all know that the uniqueness of SHOWWII from the other RTS is not only come from the realism level for WWII RTS, but also come from how the game is played. SHOWWII combine Commando style with ordinary Tactical RTS style, even have a "Direct Control" mode. This three primary core gameplay of SHOWWII is not changed much in FOW. You can still hide behind the building, toss the grenade to the window, destroy the building using Bazooka, take an enemy item, capture an enemy tank, etc. In fact, i don't know which part of FOW gameplay is differ from SHOWWII gameplay ^^;; Maybe Best Way remembered Relic's moto when its still developing the Homeworld 2..."if its don't broke, don't fix it"...or sumthing like that ^^;
There is a small improvement. One of the example is, now you can make a team wih a team leader. When you click a team leader and move him to another place, the rest of the team will follow him wherever he go. The another improvement is at UI part...User Interface...more cleaner and user friendly...a lot of "hidden function" in SHOWWII now have a shortcut directly in the front. Although its has a downside...not have an uniqueness feeling again ^^;;
The AI also have a noticeable improvement. Now the soldiers never fire SMG and Rifle again to the tank ^^. Also, when the grenade fall near the soldiers, they first starting to run (still random, but now in order more) then prone itself to the ground
