[Tips] FXAA mod untuk game DX9

    [Tips] FXAA directX DLL wrapper

    game ga support AA ? ada opsi AA atau pengen force AA via driver tapi khawatir GPU ngos2an ?
    jadi kamu maen game DX9 dan pengen force FXAA yang katanya enteng, ini solusi sementaranya

    • download nih file di attachment
    • taruh di folder executable game kamu (launcher dan executable utama kadang beda tempat)
    • baca petunjuk
    • jalankan game dan aktifkan FXAA


    beta version 8! directx 9, directx 10, directx 11, x86 binaries only! may be incompatible with any other form of antialiasing! can be combined with downsampling!

    Install:
    If the game uses DirectX 9, put all files from the d3d9 directory into the directory containing the game executable.
    If the game uses DirectX 10/11, put all files from the d3d10 directory into the directory containing the game executable.

    Uninstall: Remove the files.

    Notes:
    Do not mix d3d9 and d3d10 the files.
    Install the latest DirectX runtime.
    A "log.log" file is created to log behaviour/ bugs.
    If the "log.log" file is not created then you use the wrong "*.dll" or you put it into the wrong directory.
    If the "log.log" is created but the game crashes or FXAA is disabled, look where the "log.log" is created. Usually the shader files go into that particular directory.
    Try to put the files into different directories before saying it doesn't work.
    In some games (e.g. Portal 1 or Halo 1) refuse to accept the alpha channel. A general workaround (lower quality) for those is to add the following line at the beginning of shader.fx :
    #define FXAA_GREEN_AS_LUMA 1
    There is a way to experiment with sharpening. I added an example. To activate additional sharpening filter change edit the line "//Replace this line with #include "Sharpen.h" to add a sharpening pass" in shader.fx.
    Note that right now sharpening is only an example that it can be done. I more-or-less copypasted a random sharpen filter to show how my mod can be modded.

    biasanya sih bisa untuk ATi juga. Soalnya FXAA dibeberkan bebas kok sama nvidia (Timothy L)

    FXAA tuh post-processing, jalan di GPU mana aja yang dukung shader (keknya pake shader model 3, iirc)

    game-> render scene -> selesai semua -> framedi apply shader fxaa -> hasil akhir

    kenapa cepet -> hanya berupa post-processing 1 pass pada frame yng udah selesai dirender


    kalo memang mau, abis selesai 1 post-processing hasilnay lempar untuk post processing lagi juga bisa. tapi malah bisa memperburuk hasil, terlalu burry ntar

    beda apa MSAA, MLAA, CSAA, QCSAA ?
    semua yang diatas itu sebagian besar merupakan teknik AA hardware / fixed pipeline yang disediakan oleh GPU.
    dari cara kerja juga beda, karena teknik2 diatas menggunakan proses sampling dengan lebih dari 1 sample jadi lebih berat juga.
    dan karena fungsi AA2 diatas diimplementasikan pada hardware, jadi kecenderungan hanya bisa dipakai oleh gpu tertentu yang mendukung.
    kek MLAA, hanya bisa dipakai oleh GPU ATI, CSAA nvidia.
    tetapi meski lebih lambat juga hasil lebih maksimal, karena bekerja dnegan banyak sample, dan lebih sering digunakan langsung selam aproses rendering, bukan frame akhir dari buffer, jadi informasi pixel yang disapu pake AA lebih akurat/baik.
    kalo FXAA kan abis semua hasil render disatuin baru di apply ke 1 frame besar.

    baca juag quoteku diatas masalah FXAA
    sejak driver 27x, FXAA eksperimental udah include di forceware, tapi tersembunyi, dan keknya masih port GLSL, jadi hanya jalan di aplikasi openGL.
    enable FXAA di NVCP => [Tips] enable opsi FXAA di Nvidia CP
    tapi tuh masih port FXAA lama kalo g asalah, dan hanya di openGL ke aku tulis diatas.

    pada dasarnya nih kerja dengan pake library dx9 custom yang ngambahin perintah untuk apply shader post process di akhir rendering.
    kalo naruh dll di folder executeable, otomatis ini yang akan dipake, dan bukan yang ada di system32 atau syswow64

    keterangan diatas maksudnya, hanya berlaku untuk aplikasi 32bit a.k.a x86, karena library dx9 yang disertakan adalah library dx9 versi 32bit.
    di OS 64 bit, librarynya ada 2, 32 bit dan 64bit
    tapi mo jalan di OS 32 bit atau 64 bit ngga ada masalah

    oh bgitu, jd ini tool bs jalan lancar di win vista/7 64bit... Ok dah... super mantap.... dan kebetulan ane msh ada game yg jagies nya sulit dijinakkan, mafia II n mass effect 2 msh terinstal di dlm hDD ane... ohohoho
