The British Board of Film Classification, yang biasa disingkat BBFC, badan sensor dari Inggris, memberikan Rating 18 kepada salah satu game yang paling dinantikan, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Walaupun tidak akan ada adegan yang disensor maupun dipotong dalam game ini, berita tersebut cukup mengejutkan, mengingat ini pertama kalinya Call Of Duty series mendapatkan rating 18


Keputusan untuk memberi Rating 18 kepada Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 diambil setelah BBFC mereview game tersebut selama kurang lebih 45 menit. BBFC memutuskan bahwa Call Of Duty Modern Warfare berisikan konten “strong bloody violence”. Hal ini tentu saja membuat banyak pihak cukup heran, mengingat Call Of Duty 5 yang berisikan para prajurit yang dibakar “flame thower” pun hanya mendapat Rating 15 dan “strong violence language” (tanpa ada blood). Hal ini menimbulkan dugaan banyak adegan dalam Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 yang cukup sadis.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 sendiri direncanakan akan dirilis tanggal 10 November 2009 bagi Xbox 360, PS3 serta PC.
