hmmm.......... not interested, gimana nasibnya ntar ya???? kasian konsumen, seperti temen2 bilang diatas, saingan dia pemain besar semua, yg udah punya langganan game2 developer, trus tiba2 Acer nongol dgn trend baru, "konsol yg bisa di upgrade????" fresh idea, but it's a bad idea

HD-DVD yg keliatan awalnya begitu menjanjikan aja skr drop, kasian kan pengguna 360 kyk gw ntar kedepannya ga bisa maen game2 lagi gara2 format HD-DVD dah ga dibuat lagi, apalagi ini yg lebh riskan, karna yg dibikin bukan perangkat pendukung, tapi perangkat inti, misal ntar upgrade yg dimaksud Acer ini bener2 mirip komputer, jadi vga, ram dll bisa di ganti semua, trus tiba ntar karna suatu hal produksi perangkat tadi berhenti, mampus dah pengguna kosol Acer ini, kecuali yg digunakan perangkat komputer sebenernya, tapi ntar jadi ambigu donk, mana konsol mana komputer

Open Standards-nya yakin kayak si TS maksudnya?

Bukan Open-Standards maksudnya type file yg bisa di-play ato struktur file yg membentuk game itu tidak diharuskan menggunakan SDK (Standard Development Kit) dr console tersebut?

Tiap konsol kan strukturnya beda2.., nah mungkin aja dia bisa dipake baca berbagai jenis platform konsol ato berbentuk laen. Who knows? Great idea asal ga kebentur lisensi format dll..

So very often, we're led astray by misinterpretations, misquotes and mistranslations. Such is the case with the biggest piece of news from earlier this week, which involved PC notebook-maker Acer jumping into the video game console market.
According to the Videogaming247 blog, Acer has confirmed that story wasn't accurate, due to "misinterpreted quotes."
“That was a major misunderstanding as JT [James T Wong, Acer’s senior VP - Ed] was wrongly interpreted,” said a UK spokesperson for the firm. “Acer is not going to release any game console but the idea is to develop a high-end PC (so not a console) targeted at the serious gamer.”
By all rights, we probably should've read between the lines and assumed that this was the case, but so many people were quick to ponder a fourth competitor in the console market. From a business standpoint, we really don't think it would be a smart move, and in retrospect, it makes much more sense that Acer is planning to produce a high-end PC. Well, at the very least, it'll be geared toward avid gamers, so at least that's something, right?
