Handphone 3G sebagai modem - 29-11-06, 16:23
Katanya kalau handphone 3G sebagai modem kecepatan internet bisa mencapai 2.6 Mbps. Apakah itu benar ? Lalu bagaimana dengan SIM cardnya, apakah dengan menggunakan StarOne bisa mencapai 2.6 Mbps ?

Apa kelemahan menggunakan koneksi internet dengan cara ini ?

mustahil bisa 2.6 mbps, kalau cuma 2 mbps sih bisa, asal telkom nyediain layanan 3G sampe 2 mbps (dilimit kan katanya sampe 384 kbps)

Gw pake XL3G.
Maksimal yang digunakan untuk 3G indonesia itu teorinya cuma sampe 384kbps. Itupun tidak semua.

Harganya memang cuma 200.000 tapi tidak unlimited bandwidthnya. Gw pernah bayar Starone sampe 1.6jt. Waktu itu pernah gw tunjukkin tagihannya soalnya gw tembus 1.3GB bandwidth.

Sementara gw pake XL, yang bisa digunakan untuk 3G, bagi pascabayar, sampai saat ini hanya 64kbps, walau kadang memang sampai 10-12KBps.

Kalo secara teori, di Indo, EVDO cdma cuma sampe 153kbps, sementara gsm 3G sampe 384kbps, jadi mestinya emang lebih cepet 3G GSM.

Denger punya denger, nanti kecepatan 384kbps bener bener diberlakukan setelah pertengahan 2007. Ini baru gosipnya. Sementara yang sudah memberlakukan 384kbps baru telkomsel, dan tidak unlimited / flat. 1KB dihitung Rp. 10 rupiah kalo nggak salah.

Jadi silahkan aja. Pilih yang mana. Kalo nggak suka download atau semacamnya cuma browsing, mendingan starone karena itu cukup cepat, murah, dan stabil. Asal.. bandwidth ga boleh tembus. Kalo tembus, 1MB nya Rp. 500. Terlihat kecil memang, tapi nggak kerasa kalo suka browsing.

Padahal saya sudah berbunga-bunga begitu mendengar bakal sampai 2.6 Mbps. Ternyata hanya 384 Kbps, menyedihkan sekali. T_T.

Hei.. bagus banget kalo misalnya bisa dapet 384kbps lho. Udah lumayan itu.
Gw aja di janjiin 384kbps dapet nya cuma 64kbps.
