Kali ini saya berkesempatan untuk mereview salah satu model dari produk notebook Acer Aspire terbaru yaitu
ACER Aspire 4740-331G32Mn.
Konfigurasi sesuai yang tertulis di web :
AS4740-331G32Mn Linpus™ Linux® , Intel® Core i3-330M processor (3 MB L3 cache, 2.13 GHz, DDR3 1066 MHz, 35 W),

Pada kedatangan sample ini, saya mendapatkan versi LINUX yang terpaksa harus saya bongkar dan install ulang dengan Windows 7.

Memang sudah saatnya notebook kelas mainstream memiliki platform baru yang lebih powerful, tapi lebih irit daya.
Processor Intel Core i3 Mobile codename Arrandale dengan fabrikasi 32nm sudah menjawabnya pada tahun 2010 ini.
Menggantikan tahta pendahulunya Intel Core 2 Family T5XXX dan T6XXX series, vendor sendiri mengklaim begitu banyak kelebihan yang ditawarkan pada processor ini. Mari kita lihat implementasi mobile processor terbaru pada notebook Acer yang dilabel pada harga sekitar 5.9 jutaan yang akan saya review ini.

Transfer minimum di kisaran 31 MB/sec sementara maksimum di 66 MB/sec.

Super Pi

test super pi 1M selesai dalam waktu 21,3 detik. Hasil yang cukup baik menurut saya.

Temperature Idle

HDD yang panas....

Temperature Load

Processor menunjukkan suhu 66C pada saat testing dengan prime95 (bukan orthos cuy, ini 4 threads!!! )
HDD tidak menunjukan perubahan suhu.

Awesome!!! cuma itu yang bisa saya komentari tentang notebook baru ini. Penginstalan software terasa lebih responsif dibandingkan seri 4736 dengan processor Core 2 Duo T6600. Loading OS Windows 7 juga terasa lebih cepat.
Sayangnya, notebook ini sepertinya kurang cocok untuk bermain game-game 3D yang berat karena keterbatasan hardware terutama grafis. Mungkin ditujukan untuk pengguna yang lebih mengutamakan multitasking dalam bidang office ataupun grafis skala ringan.

-Desain masih menggunakan model Aspire 4736 sebelumnya. Tidak ada inovasi baru.
-Tidak ada bluetooth pada varian ini, walaupun ada tombol untuk aktivasinya
