[ASK] Bikin NAS sendiri - 27-01-08, 11:39
Gini nih bos ceritana. Wa punya cita2 mo beli casing baru lagi (TT Armor +). Nah ntar Casing yang lama kan nganggur mo nya aku jadikan NAS. BTW casing ku yg sekarang tu TT Armor jadi bisa ditambahin kalo gak salah 13 HDD. Bisa gak ya ? Kalo bisa perlu apa aja ?

banyak hdd
old hardware (P2/K6-2, dan diatasnya udah memadai)
*kl pake old HW, paling ngga mesti ada RAID Card, alasan: HW lama max bus cuma 33/66mbps (UDMA 2/3/4)
ga disarankan menggunakan high end hw dengan alasan konsumsi power yg berlebihan

OS terserah, asal server ready...
tp banyak orang saranin pake linux sih, free windows virus

sama aja dengan pake smb share di windos atau linux kan?

Kalo beli nas hdd sendiri sih emang yang langsung ada os nya sendiri. Cuman kalo bikin sendiri apa nggak seperti bikin pc biasa aja? Tinggal di share drives nya.

Seingatku, ps2 kalau buka anime di NAS hdd juga network nya musti set ke : SMB.
Sama kayak buka anime di pc lewat Lan, SMB juga.

Ah bingung gw. Ada yang mau kasih penjelasan mudah nya dalam 'bahasa awam' gak?
