Perusahaan mainan Tectoy asal Brazil, kemarin mengumumkan bahwa saat ini tengah membuat sebuah console game baru bernama Zeebo, rencananya console ini akan dilepas ke pasaran pada bulan Juli 2009. Zeebo akan dijual seharga R$ 599, dilengkapi dengan control dan enam games didalam memorinya, sebagai berikut : “Fifa”, “Brain challenge”, Super action hero”, “evil Prey”, “Need for speed” dan “Quake II”.


Game-game lainnya akan dijual via online, jadi gamer yang berminat membeli game bisa mendownloadnya langsung seharga R$ 9,90 (catalogue) R$ 29,90 (launchings special). 19 games telah termuat dalam catalogue Zeebo, dan sebanyak 51 judul lagi hingga bulan Desember nanti.


Fernando Fischer, director-executive Tectoy, mengatakan bahwa Zeebo akan menjadi platform dipasaran, untuk bersaing dengan Xbox 360 (Microsoft), Wii (Nintendo) and PlayStation (Sony). Fernando menegaskan bahwa game-game Zeebo tidak dapat di copy ke media lain sehingga relatif aman dari masalah pembajakan. Electronic Arts, Namco, Capcom, Activision, Sega akan menjadi partner dalam memproduksi game untuk console ini, ujarnya.
