SQL itu apa sih? Bener ga harus belajar SQL dolo?
Gw sekarang ada Visual Basic di sekolah!
Seberapa bagus/berguna'nya VisualBasic itu?
Trus apa bedanya C / C++ / J++ ??? [Klo ada yg laen gw ga tau..., Gw taunya itu]...

SQL itu structured query language, bahasa db yg universal, entah itu mysql, ms.sql, access, postgre, dll.... yg namanya SQL tetap SQL.....
ya mendingan belajar sql aja hehe......
tergantung juga sih, klo mau main2 di databse, belajar sql aja, klo main2 di programming, belajar VB dulu aja.
ntar klo udh bisa kedua2nya, bisa di gabungin ( buat program di VB utk panggil data dari server SQL (
klo udh bisa buat program yg spt itu, niscaya uang akan berdatangan hehehe.......

kenyataan mengatakan bisa SQL lbh "gampang" dpt duit hehehe....
ya bisa pake foxpro ( klo foxpro tanya x-pi aja, dia masternya hehe ) gw ga pernah pegang foxpro. klo sql tanya ke gifos aja tuh hehe...

Heh, SQL jelas-jelas lebih jago loe, jangan kabur lu!!! *sambit macan make cambuk* . Gwe cuman masih ngerti INSERT xx FROM xxx WHERE xxx . Maklum jek, dah tahunan nggak megang SQL lagi ^__^

Untuk mas Sony, sebenarnya belajar SQL duluan apa nggak itu tergantung tujuan Sony belajar mau kemana? Kalau ma belajar database ya sebenarnya bukan hanya SQL saja, tapi ya program Front End-nya mesti dipelajari juga. Kalau bisa sih belajar bareng .

Sebenarnya SQL itu nggak rumit kok, malah gampang banget. Yang bikin pusing itu adalah kalau tabel-nya sudah lebih dari 2 ^^; Kalau nggak ada ERD-nya bakalan kewalahan .

Kecuali buat si macan yang "ERD berjalan" .

"Program Frontend" itu ya kayak Visual Basic atau Delphi atau Foxpro atau dst banyak deh . Intinya, "Program Frontend" itu sebagai "user interface" antara user dengan database. Kalau diumpamakan kantor, kan ada Front Office dan Back Office. Front Office itu ya yang berhubungan dengan orang selain orang kantor seperti Customer Service, kasir, dst. Back Office itu seperti bagian Gudang .

mo belajar bahasa pemrograman apa ? ... hmm... tergantung, enaknya lo pilih satu dulu, misalkan PHP, dan niatin belajar konsep pemrograman dan tekanin di logicnya, kalo logic programmingnya udah oke, mudah2an bisa rada fleksibel, jadi misalkan suatu saat ukuran gaji c++-programmer lebih tinggi dari rate gaji VB-programmer, lo bisa switch ke java tanpa terlalu susah payah ... karena lo dah punya "logic" nya ...

berdasarkan apa yg gw denger, yg menurut orang rata2 mudah dipelajari itu Visual Basic dan yg paling susah C++

kalo masalah database, SQL itu bisa dibilang susah bisa juga dibilang gampang, awal2 belajar SQL emang rada gampang, cuman query2 simple, tapi kalo udah terjun jadi DBA professional ( DataBase Admin), bisa pusing 7 keliling, DBA terkenal jadi orang yg kerja 24-7 ( 24 hours 7 days ) enggak ada libur sama sekali ... hihihi
