Kayanya VB.NET lebih kepake soalnya banyak anak SMA kaya gw yang butuh diajarin VB.NET, bisa dipake buat bikin aplikasi sederhana dan bisa dipake juga buat web(Yang ini betul ga sih??)

Kalo c# gw baru denger, tapi kayanya bahasa ini kurang populer(setidaknya itu kata guru komputer gw), yang cukup populer itu C++. Pemakaiannya variatif mulai dari game sampai aplikasi biasa...

Sehingga kesimpulannya, C++ dan VB sama-sama populer dan dibutuhin di lowongan pekerjaan, tinggal lu, mau kerja jadi apaan. Kalo mau jadi programmer game, yah pelajarin C++.

Sebagai saran kuasai aja VB dulu baru kuasai C++ karena VB.Net itu bahasa pemrograman yang katanya paling gampang karena sifatnya yang OOP, trus kalo udah dikuasai baru naik ke C++

kenapa VB dikatain gampang?Karena guru kompie gw asalnya adalah programmer Pascal dan Delphi(yang jauh lebih njelimet karena untuk bikin button aja, lu harus ketik sendiri syntaxnya), kemudian dia ngajarin VB ke angkatan gw dengan cara bicara seolah-olah itu udah makanan sehari-harinya padahal ini baru tahun pertama dia ngajar...

Tapi cilakanya cara bicaranya yang terlampau rumit dan menggangap semua anak didik kemampuan otaknya sama kayak dia, membuat hampir 70% dari satu angkatan kaga ngarti VB.Net...

Kalau menurut gwe sih, jangan dilihat dari ada lowongan apa nggak..tapi lihat dari mana yang disukai dan lebih mudah dikuasai . Saran gwe sih, coba aja 2-2nya terlebih dahulu lalu lihat mana yang disukai maka itu yang dipelajari terlebih dahulu .

Kalo dah punya dasar pemrograman, VB.Net mungkin lebih banyak lowongannya..

Kalo belum punya dasar pemroraman, pilh bahasa apa saja yang penting lo cepet ngerti dan paham.. soalnya kalo dah bisa 1 bahasa pemrograman dengan fasih, lo akan mudah untuk belajar bahasa lainnya..
"Grammar-nya sama, cuma beda Vocab aja..."



Bahasa yg gue pelajari berurutan (di kampus dan di dunia luar kampus):

Turbo Pascal --> BASIC --> Visual Basic --> C/C++ --> COBOL --> FORTRAN --> Javascript + HTML --> ASM --> Delphi -->
VB.NET --> PHP

Yang sering gue pake atau fasih gue pake sampe sekarang, cuma:
Pascal, BASIC, VB, Delphi, VB.NET & PHP...

Belajar pertama kali sampe berbulan2, learn by doing, dengan modal cuma komputer dan buku.. Setelah bisa 1 bahasa, saat pindah ke bahasa lain cuma dalam hitungan minggu... Soalnya dasarnya sama, cuma beda syntax..

Rencananya abis ini mo belajar ASP, tapi blom dapet mood untuk belajar.. hehe..


Oia, kayaknya gak ada masalah mau belajar VB.NET atau C#.. berhubung satu product family, memungkinkan untuk mengconvert code dari VB.Net ke C#, and vice versa... tapi ini kalo gue gak salah loh yah... cuma pernah denger aja..blom pernah nyoba sendiri.. coba aja googling..
