Toyota, bmw, honda motorcycle, daihatsu, can be said the most popular vehicle brand in indonesia, there will be always 1 car, either toyota or daihatsu on every corner of the street in major indonesia city...
that means, there are lot of peoples send the money to astra, as the main brand holder. All daihatsu, toyota, bmw here are sold from astra
well, most of the people know Astra is indoneisan company, and they think while they buy toyota, daihatsu and its friend, they help indonesia getting better (richer ?) well it is right, but not 100% correct.

Astra International is one of the largest business group in indonesia. Its stock is blue chip. Almost all of equity based mutual fund here will purchase Astra stock. You can check at the most popular fund like fortis ekuitas, infrastruktur plus, manulife dana saham, etc.
Lets trace about Astra, the owner of Astra (well, not all, but in good %) is Temasek, who also own 45% of telkom, and BII and etc etc...
Half of Astra is owned by Jardine Cycle & Carriage, around 60% of Jardine is owned by DBS, and a quarter of DBS is owned by Temasek..
So, around 1/10 of your money goes to singapore's big pocket.. perhaps as big as Doraemons . It just from toyota, daihatsu, bmw, and some another brands.
If you go deeper about Temasek, they also have almost half of telkom. This draw a conclusion that few % of money that we spent is going to singapore. Via astra, telkom, some banks, etc.
I wonder if Indonesia can reduce the corruption to nearly zero, then people who live here can have a better life, at least, as good as singapore
