Himbauan Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) Malang untuk tidak menonton film 2012 yang dinilai menyesatkan itu, dikomentari oleh paranormal Ki Kusumo. Menurutnya, pro dan kontra di masyarakat merupakan sesuatu yang wajar, tergantung sudut kepentingan.

"Film 2012 adalah sebuah hiburan. Kita tidak boleh menghakimi sebuah karya seni. Masyarakatlah yang harus pintar menilai sisi baik dan buruknya. Toh bukan hal yang mustahil usai nonton film tersebut justru mampu menyadarkan kita," terang Ki Kusumo saat ditemui wartawan di tempat prakteknya, Jl Swatantra V No. 6 Jatiasih, Bekasi, Rabu (18/11)

Kiamat dalam film 2012 menurut Ki Kusumo hanyalah cerita fiksi yang berkiblat dari perhitungan Bangsa Maya. Ini tidak berbeda dengan ramalan-ramalan yang pernah diberikan oleh pendahulu nenek moyang kita.

"Bangsa Maya sama halnya kita sebagai manusia yang memiliki keterbatasan. Kalau bicara ramalan, saya justru lebih percaya ramalan Joyoboyo," sambungnya sambil tertawa.

Ki Kusumo menghimbau pada masyarakat untuk tidak terlalu membesar-besarkan isu kiamat 2012.

"Kalau bicara kiamat, kita lihat pengertian kiamat itu seperti apa. Karena kiamat itu sesungguhnya adalah rahasia Allah SWT. Kapanpun bisa terjadi, tidak akan ada manusia yang tahu. Sebagai umat Islam, saya percaya adanya kiamat, namun saya tidak percaya tahun 2012 akan terjadi kiamat," imbuhnya.

Ki Kusumo sendiri mengaku telah menonton film tersebut. Secara efek visual menurutnya, patut diacungi jempol. Isu kiamat yang diangkat momennya sangat tepat. Perusahaan filmnya pintar memanfaatkan peluang bisnis.

Ditambahkan Ki Kusumo, isu kiamat 2012 hanyalah sebuah strategi bisnis untuk mempromosikan film. Tentunya produser berharap film itu dikomentari sehingga memiliki sisi kontroversial yang dapat mengundang penonton.

"Di sinilah letak kehebatan para marketingnya. Jadi 2012 hanyalah dagangan film. Terlepas bisa menyadarkan manusia atau malah menyesatkan, tergantung persepsi orang yang menonton," pungkasnya. (kpl/wwn/dar)
